How Do I Know If It Is Ich?

One of my male balloon molly have just 1 tiny white but not really white spot on his tail, is it ich or it is just normal? There is only 1 spot on him

 

Ich looks like a grain of sand or tiny air bubble. It could be a broken fin bone or tuft of bacteria instead. Those might clear on their own. If its ich, there will be more spots soon then we will know for sure.

 

Is this a new fish? Did you get anything new, like plants, inverts or fish lately?
