How do I insert a link?

Hi all. I have one question: how do I insert a link without having to manually type in the title, etc.? Thanks in advance! (I have inserted a picture below, if that helps)

i always copy and paste my links, are you not able to copy the link and paste it into the URL box?

The style button is next to the alert/notifications button.

The Text box is where you put whatever words you want to show up as the link. Although I always just copy paste URLs.

That's an example of when you just copy paste a link into your response.

Ok, so I figured it out! Thanks! I always thought you had to put something in the "Text" box, but I guess not!

That link box that asks for text and URL is what is called "ctrl+k". It adds a hyperlink.

fishlore.com this is a copy paste link.

If you just copy/paste in the regular URL from your web browser's address bar the forum will link it with the title from the page that is linked automatically for you. On the forum those numbers in the title is the thread id.

If you use the post editor's link pop-up to insert a link then you can explicitly state what you want the text of the link to display instead of letting the forum figure out the linked page's title.
