I want to begin feeding my Rainbowfish cucumbers and zucchini. I've heard you have to boil it though, how long exactly should I boil? Also, how often should I feed it and can I store boiled cucumbers and zucchinI in the fridge? Do I just chuck the boiled cucumbers and zucchinI in the tank or is there a specific way of feeding? I want to make sure I know exactly how to do this.

You don't actually have to boil veg for your fish, but rather parboil it, just a very quick dunk in boiling water, just like you would do before canning vegetables. If you ever you happen to use frozen veg, you can skip this step, as it has already been done.
And good practise on your part, I must say, most fish love fresh veg, best to ya-rick

Do rainbowfish like vegs???

There are quite a few types of rainbow fish, but I can say with some certainty that some fish not expected to like veg will gobble it up---In an American cichlid tank, for example, most of the fish like the odd bit of veg, but my pike cichlid is supposed to be a straight piscivore (or the equivalent prepared food). He darts out and swallows peas without any hesitation-it is sort of like my dogs, they would sooner eat their veg rather than see someone else have it-------------rick

I know but most of my "carnivores" don't eat cumcumber. They don eat blached / boiled lettuce, spinach and brussels sprouts!!!
