20 Gallon Tank How Do I encourage Algae Growth in my Tank.

HighBrass

Hello. I have a well established 20 Tall. It is heavily planted and well, fully stocked for sure. The tank sits beside window and naturally grows some algae. I'm looking to determine how I can go about further promoting algae growth in the tank. I have in the past used the plant grow solutions commonly sold in aquarium and pet stores with great sucess for some plants. But it is really the algae I want to see grow in a little bit more! Any suggestions!?!

leave the tanks lights on for a really long time, maybe idk, 12-13 hours a day and you will have lots of algea growth. also, why do you want algea growth?

Depends what algae growth you want I suppose . Or do you mean biofilm ?

Lights full power, long period. Heavily stock with fish, over fertilise with macro nutrients. Feed the fish well. Enjoy your algae :)

In my experience a fluval plant 3.0 does it effectively
