How did Everyone Come up With Their Username?

I was just wondering how everyone came up with their username?

For my first username, Cobra507, I was thinking of my cobra guppys and I just took the word Cobra and added 507 in it.

For the username I have right now, Pythia, I thought about a greek myth (I enjoy reading them). The god of prophecy, Apollo, has a sacred oracle called the oracle of Delphi. The priestess that spews out all the prophecys is called the Pythia, named after the monster, Python.

Python had once taken over the cave of the Oracle and Apollo defeated him. I don't know why he would call his priestess of Delphi the Pythia after his enemy.

Anyway, I'd like to hear how you guys came up with your usernames too!

 

Um, my name is Val. On another forum someone claimed that name two weeks before I joined, so I am Val1 every where I post.

 

'Joshaeus' was a villain in a video game I was developing. I never finished it, but the name has stuck as my alter ego.

 

I'm a mechanic, the old term for that is "a wrench"
This new wave automotive technician label is nonsense.....technicians are closer too an engineer than a mechanic. Big difference

 

bmuckluck was my runescape username (hahaha) a friend made for me a long time ago (probably around 12 years) when she wanted me to get into the game, and it just stuck!

Feohw is a typo. I tried to type Fheo, which is a name I used on a game I used to play with some friends. I wasn't bothered to fix it, or to take care when typing it, as I was planning on making a single post and leaving.

Clearly things went exactly to plan, but I still haven't fixed it as I'm averse to change.

I love horses, so in most other things I'm HorseGirl115. 11/5 is my birthday. So I just decided to go with FishGirl instead of HorseGirl. Seemed more relevant I guess

Hmm.. well my name is John but there is some backstory to the "mr". We had a friend group in which I was one of two John's. To curb confusion another friend labeled me mr.john. that sort of stuck and it worked out well for a band nickname as well. It gets odd though. People unassociated with my personal or musical life randomly would call me mr.john. As in former bosses, ex colleagues, etc. I felt at that point it was just meant to be.

Yeah, sometimes I come up with usernames but I don't know how I came up with it.

Same, I use different usernames for different forums.
You could just change your username although I'm not sure if the forum will allow that much characters in a username. Still worth a try, though.

 

I needed a name for something so I opened up the dictionary I keep next to my bed and chose the first word that I saw. I just kind of stuck with the name and use it for a most stuff now.
