I pulled some drift wood off the beach recently and I want to put it into to my fresh water tank with mostly tetra species I'm not sure how to ensure that it won't mess up anything I fear that any salt may cause issue with the PH

Quick bleach dip followed by a 3-4 day soak and a 3-4 day drying out period should be good. Then soak till it sinks that’s how I do my river driftwood anyways.

I'd probably do H2o2 to steralize it because it nutralizes in water but yeah I hope just soaking it will clear most of the salt

Bleach evaporates completely if left out to dry long enough :) And would probably do a better job
