In my 120 gallon tank (4x2x2); I have some jungle val that have leaves as long as 5 to 5 1/2 feet long (basically it grows up the side and then nearly reaches the other side of the tank along the top). Will it continue much longer or is that pretty much near the limit?

In my 29's I planted some italia val with hope it would be a bit smaller (at least in length). It is still too new but should I expect 5 feet long leaves (just narrower) ?

I think most people just trim them. Use sharp scissors for a clean cut, because I've heard they melt if you just rip them off. I'm still waiting for mine to grow.... I think they just keep growing...some things say 6+ feet long!

I cut mine as well so that it stays around the length I want it as otherwise its quite unruly and I don't need it any longer than about the 3-4 foot length I generally trim at.

Honestly, I rip mine off and they are doing fine.

So no limit in length - they just keep going and going unless you cut em ?

Yes I know people cut their leaves but that isn't my question - my question is do they have a length limit ?

About 6ft they will continue to grow to that length even if trimmed shorter, I am pretty sure.
