Long story short, I bought some gorgeous yellow fire dwarf shrimp today from a fish shop that’s a bit away from me. I love them, they’re gorgeous and so fun to watch but unfortunately theyre housed with a betta in a 7 gallon tank. He’s always hunting them and has already eaten one, so I’m looking to see if I can save these shrimp but if I can’t I’m considering Horned Nerite Snails! I’ve heard the praise for nerite snails in general but unfortunately the lid I have has some openings and I don’t want to risk one of my cats getting ahold of a snail! Ive heard some say that horned nerite snails (or bumblebee nerites?) don’t try to escape and I’m wondering if anybody knows if that’s true? Or if there are recommendations for other snails for clean up crew but won’t overpopulate/escape? Thank you!
