Honey or Thick Lipped Gourami? Can you help...

Linfin

I have been slowly building out my community tank and I’ve been researching the next members to add to the setup. I had decided on Honey Gouramis. So last weekend after much deliberation I headed out to pick some up. I have to say that after all of the stories I’ve read of people getting thicked lipped gouramis instead of honeys I am hoping I didn’t join the same club as so many on this great forum. Can anyone help tell me if I have true Honeys or did I get the Thick Lipped variety? Any help is appreciated.

That looks much like a Honey IMO. Thick lipped gourami tend to be more orange.

I would say Honey but I’m not the best at fish ID.

Thank you! That’s what I was hoping for when I picked them out because they refuse to sex them for me so I did my best.
