Okay - I whipped up a batch of gel food, primarily for my snails, but maybe for my guppies as well.
My recipe:
1 4 ounces jar of baby food (pears, kale and spinach
2 tablespoons calcium carbonate
1 teaspoon Tetramin
1 teaspoon TetraColor
1 teaspoon NLS small fish formula
1 teaspoon Omega 1 fry food
1 teaspoon (ea.) Repashy Community Plus and Soilent Green
1/2 can no salt added green beans
3 spinach leaves
Small handful baby kale
2 cubes each - (Frozen) Spirulina brine shrimp, blood worms, daphnia, cyclops, mysis shrimp
I ground all the dry goods to a fine powder in an electric coffee grinder. I thawed the frozen foods then combined them with the dry powder in my food processor. I added enough water to get it to work. It took a while but I ended up with a thick paste.
I then boiled 2 cups of water and dissolved 2 packets unflavored gelatin. I hand mixed the whole mess together with an eye on minimizing air bubbles. I poured the mixture on a large cookie sheet covered with wax paper and jiggled it for about 5 minutes to get as many air bubbles out as possible.
I have it cooling in the fridge now and am in the process of cleaning up/destroying the evidence (the wife isn't home).
All I can say is they better eat it after all this mess - I'll let you know!!

Darn, I forgot the algae wafers and Bug Bites.

Yea, when I made some snello for my snails it made a big mess, luckily the kitchen was already messy so I had to clean it up so my family didn’t mind so much.
