Homemade Fish Food for Color

My friend has oscars and I have goldfish and I was trying to think of a homemade food I could make that is both healthy for the fish and will help enhance the natural reds and oranges in our fish. She was intrigued by the idea and asked me to make a batch and she'd give it a shot.

Now, I'm going to tell you what I currently have to make this and if you see anything I need to omit or include, please let me know.

Tilapia (and maybe a small amount of salmon)
Bloodworms
Carrots
Red and orange sweet pepper
Yellow Squash
Unflavored gelatin

I have also read online that Oscars like live insects like mealworm beetles. I breed dubia roaches (for my lizards) and plan on breeding mealworms as well. Would it be okay for her oscars to occasionally eat some of these?

Thoughts? I kind of wanted some opinions on this before I made it. I'd hate to make it and then come back later to find I shouldn't have added peppers because oscars can't have them or something like that.

I know some of the color enhancing food use salmon or salmon skin and I think krill or shrimp. The salmon might work better than the tilapia although it would be more expensive. I am pretty sure that the flamingo gets its pink color from a diet high in freshwater shrimp in some large water flat that they inhabit although it could be brackish. Alison

I'm using up some tilapia I have in the freezer and adding a little salmon to it for the the color. Are the veggies okay? Its just what I happen to have on hand.

I feed those veggies to my plecos. I just looked at the container of omega one color enhancing that I feed my fish on alternate days. And it says pigments from salmon skin to enhance the colors and other seafoods, Have to find the magnifying glass to read the rest. I am not sure how much if any veggies that Oscars eat. I think they are more carnivores, while goldfish are more omnivors in that they like to eat plants. Alison

I did a quick google search and most sites don't talk about giving veggies to oscars but some did mention veggies like zucchinI or peas. Worst case scenario is that her oscars don't eat it, right? or could any of these veggies be harmful?
