Holes in my betta's dorsal fins?

I just noticed these two holes in my betta's dorsal fins. They look pretty big. Will it go away on it's own with water changes or should I treat him with something? He is has recently recovered from ich but he bit all of his fins of and is in the process of regrowing them, which is why they look rough. I'm just now noticing these holes though.

 

Water changes should be enough-you'll want to keep the water clean while he recovers to avoid infection . Keep in mind that they might split open before they return to their original length- this is ok!

Better keep an eye on him. I would medicate if more holes apear. Btw try adding a catappa leave in his tank.and no plastic plants with betta

Honestly I think he will be fine. I'm watching him closely and there's no more holes, just the two but they are gone now as they split down his fin. I'm sure they will heal up soon. I don't know how they happened though. He only has live plants and a moss ball. I don't keep anything sharp in there.

Maybe his fins were still weak after the ich and they only just now split open. The rest of his fins are growing and healing though.
