HI guys. The other day I got 2 new platies for my 10 because my other platy lovelie seems to be lonely now since her sister and mom went to the bridge and also I would like for her to breed. However, my new male platy seems to not breed with her nor the other female... Is there a reason why for this. I mean they are all eating ,but Lovelie seems to sleep a lot now. I think because she's an older platy, but that's a different story.

thanks. I will have pictures later of the two new ones,

How long have you had the new guy? it can take some time for them to settle in to a new tank.

Love it, LyndaB, and your avatar too. He'll settle in and drive the girls nuts soon enough.

You need to give them more time. 2 days isn't nearly long enough, poor guy probably couldn't even get to the second date by then! But if you are patient, trust me, they will breed. Once the shyness wears off they are like water bunnies, trust me!
