Hm X Hmpk

I was planning on doing this spawn at a later date, but since I have to wait a little for my before I begin my more interesting spawn happens.

This is kinda my reforming project. The male is from a spawn last year, probably one of my more successful spawns. Unfortunately, it was early last year during my “silent” period, so the spawn was never fully documented. He’ll be a year soon and I’ve been working hard on finding a female for him as his analfin and dorsal fin are.. pooey, to say the least. I found him a marbled koi HMPK female, with hopes of bettering his anal and dorsal. He’s the result of a cellophane HM and a bicolor HMPK so we have a wide range of diversity with this spawn.


Day 2 since female release.

Male has made a huge bubble nest, at first it mediocre at best, but now it’s huge! The female is a bit beaten up, torn anal and caudal fin, but no real damage done.

Day 3 since releasing female

We have eggs! Not sure how many. Doesn’t appear to be that big of a spawn, about 50 I’d guess. I’m hoping he’s a decent dad as it will be a whole before I can respawn them due to her injuries (nothing big, just want some fin regrowth)

But wow, we only have like 12.. I’m debating whether I wanna respawn the two within a week or if I wanna move on to one of my(in my opinion) more interesting projects.

 

Been 4 days since last picture. We only have about 5. I don’t think I’m gonna bother with respawning the parents. I’m working on a f1 ctpk project that I might post.

 

Bummer you only have a few, but hopefully they’ll grow into stunners! A CTPK spawn sounds fun, CTPK are the only CT I like so I’d love to see the progress!

 

A little bit over one week but these guys are bigggggtoo bad there’s only like five. (Possibly more)
