Hillstream loach question

what should I feed hillstream loaches? they love bloodworms but what else could I feed

Mine loves cucumber, I'd be surprised if a piece would last more than 10 minutes with him in there. I also notice they like to munch on HikarI Algae Wafers occasionally.

I'll make sure there's no additives on them, then once I know they're all natural I'll boil them for around a minute. This softens them up and makes it easier to eat on the fish, I usually cut pretty thin slices as well so it's even easier to eat.

oh ok thanks. how many hillstream loaches do u have and what size tank?

 

I don't have hillstream loaches but I have otos which are similar, they both have similar diets and both graze on aufwuchs and my otos like frozen zucchini. If you freeze it it gets soft when it hits the water.

Mysis shrimp are good and so are algae wafers

I only have two in a 55, but anything that grazes on algae in my tanks loves it as well.
