High Water Current..help Please

I have this type of internal filter and the water current is high for my fishes.
I don't want to use spray bar because it is not available here and its ugly...
I can't move the noosle from which water comes out...

Is there any other way I can slow down the water current?

 

try attaching a sponge to the end where the water comes out, you might have to use a rubber band to keep it in place though.

I can't point the outlet to glass because if I turn it it will open (I can only point straight forward)
& I don't want to use the sponge because it looks rough and I will affect the speed of motor by low surface area from which water is passed!
Any other option?

Get a small soda bottle and make holes in it and put attach the bottle to your outflow it wil send the water in the direction that you make the holes in thus you can make your own flo just the way you want it
