High!!!! Ph

Hello,
I have just gotten the API master test kit and have been finding so many problems with my tanks water level and now I have an 8.5 pH
Its a 10 gallon tank with 1/2 an inch of gravel a 15 gallon HOB filter a 50 watt heater and 4 nerite snails with 3 glofish tetra's. I know i'm bad a t stocking but whatever. should I try to bring it down? I feel like that's WAY to high for any fish. I have a pH decrease

 

That's not too bad, mine is much higher.
Although you shouldn't have glofish tetras in a 10 gallon, you also need six or more, they are schooling fish.

so I should leave the pH alone?

 

Your pH shoulda be fine if you don’t have any wlid caught or sensitive species.

Are nerite snails or GloFish tetra's sensitive or wild caught???

 

Glofish tetras are neither wild caught nor sensitive.
Most nerites prefer higher pH for their shells.
