High PH and somewhat low KH

Ph testing at ~7.8-8...KH and GH testing about 4-5. Fish and shrimp seem fine, but these results seem weird as I expect lower ph. Should i be concerned? Leave it alone?

Background:
This is an appropriately stocked 20 gal tank. I have started to add plants over the past couple weeks. I had lower ph and kh afterwards. Added some seachem alkalinity booster(w/o acid buffer) and c02 booster.

 

Our KH is also 4.5 and ph in tank was 8.2 (before we started injecting CO2) - others have posted similar so not out of the ordinary. What's the PH out of the tap?

Tap reads about 8.

What change did you see when c02 injection started?

 

To get the right CO2 levels for plants dropped our PH from 8.2 to 6.4 - 6.6
If your tap is 8 then 8 in the aquarium is to be expected. We added 'PH down' in ignorance at first. PH went straight back up a few hours later 'cos of the KH buffering, so we stopped.

So what's your recommendation to lower PH? I dose with liquid c02 daily. I feel like kh and gh are good just want ph down

 

Peat moss lowers ph, so does using certain leaves like almond leaves. But your water will turn a light tea color because of the tannin these release. The tannin is harmless.
