    Hello.
This is my 1st post, as I'm after advice.
I think my new ellioti cichlid (only in tank 4 days) have eggs??
Not sure how they've managed it as they are on the side of 2nd filter (turned it off now)
    Any advice...are they eggs...what do I do?
I've read to leave lights on but panicking as never had eggs before.
    Thanks

Congratulations you're a fish grandma! I'm unfamiliar with this particular cichlid, but odds are keep everything the same, don't change your light cycle and keep an eye out for ones that turn white and make sure the parents are removing those. They never seem to pick ideal spots to lay eggs lol.

Thank you, I'm not sure how many will survive, I've got angelfish in the tank and they're very inquisitive.
Fascinating being able to see them so close though

I would guess close to 0. If you manage to catch them hatching and have another small tank or something put them in you could raise them yourself. It's what I'm having to do with my rams.

Ironically I swapped them into this tank because I wanted their tank to breed my long finned ram so sadly no spare tank available.
If only my ram would breed.
