Hermit Crab Not Moving From Spot.

I'm watching my friends hermit crab temporarily, and he has been refusing to leave his hiding place for the past 2 days. Ive moved him away and he will scuttle right back to his area. The setup isn't great right now (they're going to make it better when they get back). I don't know if hes been eating or drinking. Ive only seen him at his food dish the night he was given to me three days ago.

It's a land hermit crab, right?
How long has your friend had this hermit crab?
Usually, crabs take time to destress after being purchased, and will be inactive or bury down.

What temperature is the tank?

It is a land hermit crab. They haven't had him long, but they said he was scuttling around so I'm fairly certain hes acting different. The tank doesn't have a heater so its pretty cold

I would suggest a heater, they are lethargic at lower temperatures below 75.
