I ended up getting a canister filter for our newest rescue turtle and was attempting to set it up, only this little one had other ideas and wanted cuddles!

We think he is about 3.5 weeks old, he was abandoned alone and we have had him for just over a week. We're calling him Bug for now. I have done bottle babies before and I had kind of been craving kitten, so when he needed cared for I could not say no!

He actually ended up being a she! Considering that multiple vets and techs thought she was a boy makes me feel better about the confusion.

She is a barrel of fun! Bounces on my head every morning to wake me up. Plays with my other girlies. Is just full of energy and teeth! I missed having a kitten around, and I can tell she is going to grow up to be a wicked smart cat.

There is something off about her muscles, like a generalized weakness, that our vet can't explain. Nothing that can be treated for, so we are watching and waiting and holding off on vaccines and her spay for the time being. It does not slow her down and at first glance she seems like a normal kitten, but it makes me a little concerned since we aren't sure why yet. With any luck she'll grow out of it.

Her ears did straighten up, which I am so wistful about. They're still unique though! She turns 9 weeks on Friday.
