Help with tidal 35 filter?

Highlander88

Hey! I recently lost my first Betta because he got sucked in to the filter. He got out but died a couple days later. I decided to get another Betta and today I found him sucked up against the part I've circled in the photo. I just put a white mesh bag over it for now but it's not nice to look at. What suggestions can you give me for something more permanent that blends in? Is there a sponge that will go over this shape filter? Thanks!!

Dont quote me on this but im sure you can put a piece of sponge inside that part rather than on the outside. Sure ive seen a YouTube video showing that.

carsonsgjs said exactly what i was going to suggest.

I used to run 2 Tidal 75's and cut a piece of foam sponge block to fit inside the housing that has the intake slits.

I used a replacement Aquaclear sponge to cut up and fit inside if it.

Whatever you have left over, just place it in the media basket.
