Help with Sick Cory

Hi Everyone. Can anyone please help me figure out what’s wrong with my Cory cat Wheatie? At first, I thought it was ich, and treated with RapidCure, but now it looks like her entire slime coat is sloughing off.

Background: The other 3 cats in the main tank look fine. I’ve put her alone in a hospital tank. About two weeks ago, I added a betta fish to the main tank, after quarantining it for 6 weeks. He chased the cats, and I took him out after a few days. Wheatie started flashing the day before I removed the betta, but seemed to stop after I removed the betta. I noticed a white spot on her tail around that time, but it seemed to clear up after a day. Two days ago, I noticed stringy looking white stuff hanging off her sides and one of her gills. Next day there were a few big white spots, and no obvious strings, except hanging out of her one gill. Today she looks like the photo. I changed the water to remove the Rapid Cure and added General Cure because I thought maybe it’s parasites? She doesn’t seem to be responding to treatment and has little appetite. What should I do?

I've seen this before, it's similar to Costia but is unique to Cories. There was a thread about it on here that I stumbled across while looking for something else, but of course I can't find it now! I'll link it if I find it.

I'm sorry about your fish. Unfortunately I can't help. You could look it up or call some aquarium/fish stores to see if they know. Bluefish Aquarium in Michigan is very helpful. Try calling them, no matter what state you're in

Deku-Cory, is this the thread? Looks like the same problem, but no clear answer how to treat it. Cory with ?fungus? ignore or treat ? Question - | Freshwater Fish Disease 452249
Yes, that's the one! On second look, it's not exactly like your Cory. Cories, being scaleless fish, can have all kinds of funky skin conditions. I'm guessing it's something fungal in nature, I've seen fungal infections that look sorta like this. Or it's Costia somehow. It honestly looks like anchor worms, but anchor worms are way bigger than what this is.

Can anchor worms be about a half a centimeter? It looked like worms sticking out of her the first day. If so, what’s the best treatment?

Thank you all so much for your help. Unfortunately, she didn't make it. But the other fish in the main tank seem to be doing okay.
