Hey can i get some help with sexing my jack Dempsey. I think it a maybe a female but im not sure. Any help would be awesome

She doesn't have as much blue on the cheeks as most females, but I believe you are correct about it being a female. Perhaps she will get more color with age.

Thanks mate. Ive had her for about 2months now its was only last week she started getting blue on her cheeks

It looks like a male. There would be more spots all the way down the chin...

I new to the hobby. Dont males JD get real pointy dorsal and analfins? Or not all the time?

A young female might not have a full "beard" yet, it could still be developing. It still has more blue than any male that I've seen.

I only saw the blue on the chin a week ago and only had it 1-2 months
