Hi guys, I got this new pipefish a few days ago, but it doesn't seem to be eating? The store said they feed them tubifex worms but mine won't eat them (live ones) even when I dangle them in front of him.

    Try some frozen mysis.

Pipefish (as well as seahorses) are notoriously hard to feed, and I wouldn't recommend them to any hobbyist that's not truly prepared for the level of work that they can take.

Thanks. I tried feeding it mysis & brine shrimp but I haven't actually seen the guy eat; it just lets them float past them. I drop chopped up frozen tubifex worms daily in front of it just in case it actually eats it. I've had them for 2 weeks now so I guess it's eating something. Fingers crossed.
