Help With Baby Nerite Snails

Hey all,

I’ve just bought some narite snails for my freshwater aquarium and I’ve got a question how I should add them? I read to place then on an edge of where the water is and I have done that but they haven’t gone in the water as yet. They’re moving slowly. Apparently you can’t just put them in the water cos they need an air bubble under their shell so they don’t drown? Whether that’s true I don’t know.
My tank is 180L.

thanks all

I've always just placed them right in the water. Should be fine.

I didn’t realise they were going to be baby ones. They are literally as big as my substrate/gravel. Lol but yeah I might put them in so they’re not out of water for long.

If you have several of them, place them on the bottom of your tank in a spot where you can observe them. Some may move away quickly. Others may sit in the same spot for a couple of days. If some do not move after a few days, pick them up and sniff them. If they smell rotten, remove them from the aquarium. If they smell OK, put them back. Sometimes it will take a while for the snails to acclimate to their new home.

I agree with the above! Can you post a picture of them? I’ve never seen tiny nerites and now I need to know the cuteness lol
