Help with Anacharis plant

So my local petsmart just came into stock of anacharis which I have been wanting for a while. The thing is there was a horsehair worm infestation with some ghost shrimp in a separate tank. Do you think its safe for me to purchase these anacharis? The anacharis are in a different fish tank. On a side note my tank only has one betta, a few annubias, javafern, el nino fern, and marimo moss balls. Thank you

Use a diluted bleach dip to clear out pests. Quarantine it in a container of water if you want to be extra safe. If you’ve never done a bleach dip, AcornTheBetta made a great guide in the article section.

Interesting, this is the first I have heard of bleach dip, ill check that out. Would it be safe for plant though? I have also researched there is not much treatment for horsehair worm other than api cure.

Than you so much I checked it out last night and it was very informative. I think anacharis are a type of aquatic weed no? And those measurements go by cups right?

Wasn't sure for how long to put it in bleach because I don't know if they are hearty plants like annubias, etc.

Thank you

Your welcome! It is an aquatic weed I think... Those measurements are by anything. You just take a container and fill it 19 times with water and pour that into a bucket and then fill it once with bleach and put that in the bucket. You could do with with tablespoons or with gallons, it doesn't matter as long as the ratio is correct.

If you don't know, just go with 45-60 secs.

Okay perfect! This is one more thing I can add to my list of fish care. Thank you very much!
