Help with a slight re-scape?

I'm keeping the majority of my layout no matter what, but I'm considering moving the biggest piece of driftwood in some way. I want to both make it a little easier to clean (can't fit my full gravel vac between it and the glass) and make the space look a little nicer. I figured I'd ask here before scaring the fish by moving a giant piece of wood around. Ignoring the plants (I have more on the way and likely will be shuffling a bunch of them around), what position would it look best? Right now, it's got its tallest flattest end facing the side of the tank, which leaves a bare area of sand behind it, under the filter intake. It has a hole in the middle of it's flat back that opens up to that "dip" on the left.

How would you position this big wood? I was thinking of possibly rotating it so that the tall, flat end is facing the filter, leaving a smaller clearing behind it than there is now. But it would bisect the foreground. The wood is basically just long enough to span from back to front of the tank on a slight angle.

Maybe prop the end of it on something, like that cube in the middle?

Hmmm that could be interesting...I like the idea of making a little cave. Though I'd have to see if it'd be sturdy enough to not worry about knocking it over when gravel vacc-ing. Thank you!

The way it looks to me the large section on the left could be the base of a tree trunk if stood on end. I'd consider cracking or cutting it about a quarter of the way up. Then position the top 3/4 on the ground like it tipped over.

That's true! I actually originally was going to stand it up that way, but it's too tall for the tank...I like the idea of positioning it like it got cut down or damaged in a storm, though. Combining that with BigManAquatics' suggestion, maybe I can form a little "cave" with that part? Thank you!

Yes, the extended top could rest on (or even still be partially connected to) the trunk. I look forward to seeing how it turns out!
