A sibling of mine found a baby apple/mystery snail on a log, in a lake near my house. She decided to put it in a cup to look at it.
Then she decided to put it in a bucket to look at is closer.
Pretty soon it was living in a plastic kitty pool. With hundreds of live plants, outside. He never left the kitty pool, and she went out everyday last summer and took care of it, did water changes, everything you could imagine. He grew up to be a happy, big snail in his big pool.
Well when it began to become fall, she was convinced he needed a nice tank, so she put him in a 3 gallon aquarium. With an air stone. He has been living in it for 6 months now.
That’s the back story on the snail, but here’s my question. Could we put a couple ghost shrimp in with the snail? I was looking it up, and read horror stories about the shrimp attacking the snail, and vis versa. Does this actually happen? How many could I have in a 3 gallon?
