First, take a deep breath. 99% of us have been here before and knew nothing of the cycle.

Second, do a 50% water change on your tank with temperature matched and conditioned water.

Then come back, tell tank stocking, size, and if you have a test kit.

If you have a test kit, let us know what the water parameters are.

Read up on the cycle, then do another 30% water change with temperature matched and conditioned water. This will have removed 80% of your tank water and reduced the ammonia greatly.

Do you have a spare tank? What size tank and what is inside it?

first, rehome any fish if they survive. Then do a water change, and research how to start a cycle.

In my 75 gallon I have 2 angelfish, 2 gourami, 4 german blue ram, 2 goldfish, 5 neon tetras, and 2 sucker fish

ammonia is .25, nitrate and nirtite are 0 my test kit is very old and expired last year though so idk I really don't like testing with the liquid either.

that honestly is a pretty scary combination of fish. Goldfish need cooler water and should not be housed with cichlids. And sometimes gouramis with angels can be risky. I'd definitely research compatible fish and work on rehoming some of your fish and starting a cycle. You should invest in a new liquid test kit. They're much better than other types and more accurate.

what test kit is easy to use and not as hard as the apI test kit I'm using right now? and what's the chance that my fish will live?

HI there. Welcome to Fishlore. Sorry you are having issues.

Although your ammonia is 0.25ppm, this isn’t high enough to be killing your fish.

Get some Seachem Prime. It is a dechlorinator, stress coat, and deotixifies ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates up to 1ppm for 24-48 hours. It is the best all around product. It will protect your fish while cycling.

I would do a 75% water change, with Seachem Prime. Also get a bottled bacteria such as Seachem Stability or API QuickStart to get your nitrogen cycle moving. I wouldn’t use Tetra Safe Start plus, because I don’t think your fish could tolerate it. You need to go a bit slower with your cycle.

With a 75 gallon tank, you need a new test kit. The liquid one is the most accurate. You can use Tetra 6 in 1 strips, but it doesn’t test for ammonia, so you will have to have a separate ammonia test.

What kind of filter do you have in your tank?

You need to rehome the gold fish. They are not compatible in your tank. What kind of sucker fish? If the are algae eaters, they have been known to suck the slime coat off of other fish, and killing them. So this may be what is happening.

.25 ammonia, while not ideal, likely isn't killing your fish. I'd still do the water change, though.

What type of goldfish do you have? Fancy goldfish or single tailed goldfish?

What do the suckerfish look like?

How long have you had the fish? Is it possible to return some?

I can recommend a stocking plan when these questions are answered.

They are called clown plecos not sucker fish sorry.

also what do your saying is, add seachem prime, 75% water change then add seachem safestart? I already sadded tetra safe start + without thinking

are all my fish going to die I don't know what to do I want want my dream to become a nightmare

They are the goldfish for 5 cents at petsmart the sucker fish are called clown plecos. I had the fish over a week and a couple weeks realized why my fish were dying. I started with more fish that what I had already.

I would do a 75% water change, add Seachem Prime as your dechlorinstor, then wait 24-48 hours to add the TSS+.

If you didn’t wait 24-48 hours for the TSS you will need to add it again. Dechlorinators do mess with the bacteria reproduction.

After you add the TSS+ then you wait 14 days. Feed your fish very lightly, don’t do anything else. Then on day 14, test your tank. You should be cycled by then. Expect to do a large water change that day. Your results on day 14 should be 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites, +5 nitrates. This will indicate a cycled tank.

Definitely get rid of the goldfish.

Your other fish may not survive the cycle. They are pretty delicate. Sorry to say. Just be prepared. The most important thing is to get your tank cycled. Then add more fish later. Using Seachem Prime will help protect your fish. So that’s why I recommend it.

On day 7 after the TSS+ you can do a spot check of your parameters. See where you are sitting. Just to be sure your cycle is going in the right direction.

You can keep the angelfish, clown plecos, and German blue Rams. Gouramis are iffy. Do you know what kind they are? The clown plecos will need driftwood to rasp on.

Definitely get rid of the feeder goldfish. They get a foot plus in length and honestly need ponds, not tanks.

Neon tetras will eventually get eaten by the angelfish and are not temperature compatible.

You can either buy a good bacterial supplement to cycle the tank (look at the directions on the bottle), or you can return all the fish and cycle with pure ammonia.
