Help! My aqaurium has a divider in it (One with holes) and I have two betta's, a boy and a girl. For two weeks now my boy betta has had a bubble nest and it wont go away. When I grow up I want to be a breeder but right now my parents wont let me mate them so the bubbles are just there, but they have not gone away. I read somewhere that they could last a week or alittle longer, but two weeks? Whats happening?

Not holes big enough for them to swim through though.

I don't think it's much of an issue. It shouldn't be hurting the fish. If you don't like it, you can try to disperse it or something with a net. But really, there's no point in fixing it if nothings broken :)

The male is going to continue to make bubbles signaling he is ready to mate. And having that female around is probably not helping.

    Welcome to Fishlore.

I would also like to add that in addition to the male constantly building his next, but the female could become egg bound as she will be creating eggs in preparation of a spawn.

While they can see each other this behavior will continue.
