So currently I have a 20 gallon tank, ill be getting a 55 gallon on my bday in 2 months. My current tank has a koi angelfish mating pair, 1 male golden wonder killi, 1 female bristlenose pleco, 1 gold inca snail, 1 serpae tetra, 1 black skirt tetra, 1 white skirt tetra, and 1 redeye tetra
The serpae and skirt tetras school together, but the redeye is often left out. I planned to get 2 more tetras of his body shape (specifically penguine and buenos) when I get my new tank but id rather he be happy sooner rather than later. Given my current inhabitants, would it be too much to add in 1 or 2 more tetras now?
I also wanted to know compatibility with fish I plan on getting. I wanted to get a peacock eel when I get the 55g, and iv heard most people say theyre docile and compatible with all the fish iv had, but there are a few posts iv seen that say they "look innocent until theyre not" and that's a bit concerning. I also wanted to know specifically the compatibility of this eel with Viper/Bamboo shrimp, as I wanted to get one of those too
Just for the record I am aware that I should be getting tetras of the same species, I simply wanted to try mixed species since I really like diversity and it ended up working out. I used to have 3 serpaes but 2 died when I botched a sand substrate change. The surviving one narrowly escaped death as well
Important to add that NONE of the fish in my tank are adult sized. The angels are pretty small and the killI is about 2/3 the average adult size. The pleco has a ways to go too
