Help! Recommendation needed for a light!

So I've mentioned my big green algae problem and everyone says it is due to the fact that my finnex planted + is too strong for my 20 gallon long-- what light should I be looking for? I do not have a lid on my aquarium and have the following plants:

Anubias
Amazon Sword
Java Fern
Moneywort
Water Wisteria
Bronze Wendtii
Red Ludwigia
Java Moss
Dwarf Sag
Dwarf Hair Grass
S. Repens
Marimo moss Ball
Anacharis

How many hours do you have your light on? You could really cut down on the hours it's on, and that should help.

A Finnex stingray might work too - it's lower light.

Yeah. I think I'm going to order it later today. It seems like such a good deal I'd hate to pass on it.

 

I had it like, on 4 hours, off for 4, on for 4 or something like that--- So you thing the stingray will work? I see so many like the fugeray and others as well-- That one you poasted also looks like it may work-- hmmmm hmmmm hmmmm

edit: does algae go away by itself when reducing lighting?

 

Stingray will definitely work, that's what I wanted to get but I'm super cheap.

Thanks you guys! My Oto cats that I am getting Wednesday will love the out of the algae until this gets cleared up, hehe-- I am surprised the 7 or so nerites aren't doing as much as some say they do :/

Light came yesterday looks great so far. Anarchis is growing noticeably faster and everything looks amazing with the light. I'll let you know how the swords do in a week or so. Might get some new plants tomorrow. Any recommendations?

 

What kinda plants do you have so far?

My 20 gallon Long:

Foreground: Dwarf Sag, Dwarf Hair Grass and S. Repens, Marimo Moss Ball
Midground: Anubias Nana, Temple Plant, Java Fern, Pygmy Swords
Background: Water Wisteria, Amazon Swords, Bronze Wendtii

I have Java Moss covered on items as well, like rocks and driftwood.

 

All low light. Anarchis, swords, Java fern, jungle and corkscrew vals, and 2 others I can't remember.
