My tank is cycled, i know. But somehow theres 7.0 ppm!!! What happened?! The tank is "self sustaining" to an extent. Snails breed, puffer eats snails, mollies nibble algea and plants, and they all get a cube of brine shrimp a week. I just drop the cube in. Its hard for me to clean the tank without disturbing the plants, as they havent gotten a foothold in roots. But everything was normal, until just a random 7.0 ppm!!!! Gaaaahhh!!!

Do a water change and make sure you use water conditioner in the new water. Aim your siphon towards the upper half of the tank to empty and refill. Shouldn't disturb your plants and it should lower the random 7.0 ppm.

7ppm ammo? Something has died and is rotting most likely.

You need to do a more than one water change to get that ammonia down. I would do 2 back to back 75% water changes with good vacuuming. Just be careful of the plants. Old food and fish waste can make your ammonia spike. 7 is super high, so something else is going on. What are your nitrites and nitrates?
