Help please, plants for 5 gallon tank

Hi! I have a low light 5 gallon tank with sand in it. I don’t use root tabs but I do use three different seachem liquid fertilizers (flourish, excel, iron). I was wondering which of the following plants could go in this tank: amazon sword, java moss, java fern, Ludwigia repens, cardinal plant, or crypt wendetti

 

Is it a Top Fin light? I started with one of those and had Java Moss and an Amazon Sword, all the Moss died, and the Amazon Sword came close to death. I also read that Swords need root tabs because that is the only way they take nutrients. This is just my experience.

 

Swords and crypts need root tabs to thrive. Java fern and Anubias are great starter plants because they don’t need a substrate and are very low light plants. You actually tie, or glue them onto rocks or driftwood or you can jam them into porus rocks.

 

You should get plants that get their nutrients from the water column not root tabs.
