Help Please. Betta Infection?

Hello,

My betta fish lost a part of his tail the day I brought him home from the pet shop, last Sunday. The next day he started to have some white spots close to his body and for the next few days he lost more pieces of his tail (caudal fins).
He is alone, in a heated 5 gallons aquarium, filtered. I checked the water and all values are good.
For the last two days, I changed 30% of his water and I used 1 tablespoon of bettafix. The owner of the pet shop suggested that. I read that bettafix or other products finishing in "fix" are not ideal to use.
Please let me know how I can save my fish from infection. It looks like he has some cotton white looking parts on his body, where he lost his fins. I attached some pictures from this morning.
For now, he seems happy and he eats, he even made a little bubble nest.
Thank you!!

Could you list the exact numbers of the parameters?
What kit are you using?

BettaFix works, but there's a natural cure, and that is water changes.
If you constantly change the water every day, he will heal in no time at all. The bettafix cannot work without removal of carbon in the filter, and I can guess you'd have a cartridge, which contain carbon.
I suggest you continue changing the water each day, and he should heal in no time.

Fin rot is often caused by poor water conditions.
Is there any decor that may have injured him?

Thanks for your answer!
The fish looked perfect in the store, when I arrived home the piece from the attached picture was floating. I held the bag in my arms all the way home, I don't understand what happened.
I am using the ApI kit , I attached a picture with results from left to right, starting with ph, nitrite, ammonia and nitrate.
Yes, I have the filter and the carbon. I will follow your steps. The decor is safe, I checked it before.
Thank you!!

That could be fin rot but the thing is the missing piece of fin looks too precise to be finrot. Has he been flaring a lot, to me it seems like he burst part of his tail while flaring, I have had my bettas have a similar injury after flaring but never that large.
This may not be the case but you shouldn`t use bettafix to treat betta, it`s really just diluted melafix which harms bettas labyrinth organ. Hope this helps! c:

I definitely suggest that you get some Indian Almond Leaves and do lots of water changes! The Indian Almond Leaves should help prevent any infections, naturally aid in healing fish, and completely natural and cannot, in any way, harm the fish.

Thanks!! I don't think its fin rot because he lost big chunks of his tails in two days , and he looked perfect when I got it. I really don't know what happened. No flaring. He seems happy , swims and eats very well. Yes, I don't like bettafix , I used it just two days.
Thank you!
