Hi.
I have a 240 litre tank with the following fish:
1 rainbow shark
2 clown loaches
3 synodontis iblevris
6 red rainbow fish
5 neon tetras
6 basic live plants
currently it is stormy and the power has gone out. Just wondering how to keep water temp warm and keep the fish alright
thanks for any answers

Try to add water to the tank that is as close to the tanks temperature as you can make it. Essentially, you'll be doing a water change but keeping the temperature up this way might help. Hopefully your power comes back on soon!

You can also add water bottles that are filled with warm-hot water to the tank. You'll have to keep a close eye on temp. Maybe try insulating the outside of the tank with something to keep as much heat in as possible.

What temp is your house at?

Your tank seems pretty overstocked to me, so I would also recommend some water changes if the power is out for an extended period of time. Not only will that help with temp, but it will also help with oxygen and ammonia. You might want to take your filter media out of the filter and put it directly into the tank where it will be exposed to so ammonia and also will not dry out.

If you or a neighbor owns a generator, turn that on, first off.

My room heater can easily heat the room to the fishes preferred temperature.

Also I have a battery powered airpump.

However, I want to get an inverter so my car battery or leisure battery can provide emergency power and run the powered filters.
