Help My swordtail just had babies

    Help what should i do to save them there in the main tank with 3 other swordtails?!?

    Have you got a small tub you could float in the tank? Or even a net would do for a short time.

    How should i feed the babies without the other fish eating them?

    They're very good at hiding in plants or under things, crush the food finely for them & they'll get it.
    You should get some survivors but it's nature's way that the adults will eat most of them

    Ok thanks i was so scared That none would live only 1 i see but hopefully theirs lots more hiding

    i have a newly setup 2.5 gallon i just set up but i did use the gravel from the old tank should i put some babies in there?

    Yes you can do, do you have a heater for it & a spare filter?

    just heater its at about 80 F but i could do some water changes but its not cycled

    That's a little too warm, I'd turn it down a degree or so.
    If you've no filter then do small daily water changes, use the water from the main tank so they don't get shocked by any difference in parameters

    Ok, they should be ok for a few weeks until they're big enough to go back with the adults.
    Yes, turn off the lights for a while to give any babies a chance to get away & hide, no don't move the adults they're too big for the smaller tank

    the 2.5 isnt cycled is that ok since i put the old gravel in there?
