Help me with centerpiece hard scape!

These are all of the cool pieces of wood I’ve found washed up by a river (aside from the cholla wood) over the course of several months. I’m tired of looking and I don’t want to spend money on any hard scape so I’m wondering if someone can help me make a cool centerpiece by by cutting and glueing some of these pieces together.
The tank is a 40 breeder and I don’t want to use any rocks, just wood. All except one have already been in a tank before so I know that they’re safe. I’m usually very creative but for some reason aquascaping is not my strong suit, although I enjoy it.
Im going to be tying Java moss, different kinds of anubias, and different kinds of Java fern to it when it’s finished.
TIA!

I like that big piece with the branch that shoots out. Cutting that branch off or cutting it back to a size that fits in your tank would work well i think.

Oh I probably should have done a size comparison. I want to glue other branches to not only make it more interesting but also to make it bigger, IMO it’s slightly too small.

Ok..I’m jealous. Those wood pieces are beautiful! I love the one in the second picture you attached, and the lighter colored larger one in the last photo.

You mentioned not wanting to use rocks, but have you considered using terra cotta pots with your driftwood?

In our 75g American cichlid tank, I scaped it with only driftwood and terra cotta pots.

Thanks for the suggestion but I’m going for a wild and natural scape, so no human made items.

I love them too! I wish I knew what kind of wood they are so I could find the source, when I first found them they all had purple and red streaks and I was SO excited to have them.
