I hope to breed them! Yes!

I'm into plecos and angels. I've been breeding both for a couple years. lol

I've only done brown and yellow BNs though. The starlights would be a new adventure!

Umm does the one I circled actually have more bristles along the side of its face (sorta along the cheeks??) than the others do?

I'm thinking this is a male and female. The female on top. She has less bristles and they are smaller. And they have different body shapes....
Anyone agree??

Awesome. I didn't know you had so many. They all look male to me, but time will tell.

It does look like the one facing down has more bristles along the cheeks. In the pic with just two Plecos. I say the one facing down looks like it could be male. Because that’s how Stucky started.

By the body shapes, you have one female, possibly a second female and two males. In the picture of the four, the middle one bottom is female, the very bottom one is male, the left top is male, and the second possible female is the top right corner. So you officially have a pair (just not proven)!

They look so nice with the yellow blue-eyes. I'd say one female at least.

So, what L number do you think these are? L182 gets to about 9” while L183 are only about 4” full grown.

How long are these right now?

I'd guess about 3 inches. I didn't think to measure them when I had them out. I am sure they are the smaller version considering how long I've had them.

Since they still have the white seam, the dots are smaller along the body, and current size they would be l183 or ancistrus dolichopterus, still labelled as starlight as most l182 for sale are labelled that (ancistrus punctatus) or brilliant bristlenose. l181 has larger dots and is known as peppermint pleco.
