My Aqueon Preset 100W heater stopped working a couple weeks ago. Luckily, my weather is nice and my outdoor tub (~13G) and betta tank (5G) have enjoyed a nice temperature throughout the days without a heater. However, winter is coming up and the water in the tub and tank can get as low as 50F degrees. I’ve been looking for a good heater and one with the right wattage that will be able to keep my temps at around 78F degrees. My previous heater was only able to go up to 72F. I’ve been looking at these heaters on Amazon and was wondering what wattage do you guys recommend, especially in waters that can get cold.
I was thinking either 50W or 100W.
