So i have a lot of these worms climbing my aquarium glass. Are these detritus worms? I vacummed my gravel for the last 3 days since i spotted them and now i have a lot climbing my aquarium glass. Water quality checks out as of today. I started a new job and i definitely over fed. Im hoping now that i cleaned the tank this will go away ? Thoughts? Advice?

I think they are detritus. Maybe richiep can weigh in.

Honestly it's a little tricky to tell with the water spots on the glass—would it be possible to clean those off and try another photo?

Detritus worms are generally REALLY skinny and competitively long. These (if I'm seeing them correctly) look much stubbier than the detritus worms that I'm familiar with.

I was thinking it might be some weird strain or specific species maybe.

They are Rhabdocoela worm quite harmless, overfeeding is the reason they have appeared so cut back and they will go away,
