Help Identifying Pleco Species

hi. A few weeks ago I bought a pleco for my first ever aquarium, and it was labeled a sailfin by the store (I didn't know back then that fish don't actually grow to the size of the tank).

But he doesn't look like a sailfin? If anything he looks more like a gold spot (L-001)... Can anyone help identify him? I'm attaching a collage of some of his photos.

(I got him 5 weeks ago, so far he grew quite consistently from 5.6 cm to 8.4 cm)

It's a Sailfin (Gibbiceps). They'll grow to about 20".

It's a Gold Spot Sailfin, Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus. L-001 is one of the known forms of this species. Seeing a lot of these lately. They can get to a foot, but 10 inches is more common.

Pt. gibbiceps has dark spots on a light background, this species is the exact opposite.
