Help identifying “assorted cichlid”

Just went out and impulse bought 4 assorted cichlids, I’m pretty confident in what I got for three but the blotched one in my opinion appears to look like a peacock of some sort, was hoping somebody could maybe identify this guy/girl, it was in a tank that was labeled mbunas, that’s what I’m hoping it is maybe a blueberry ob

I’m aware, it’s just no good lfs in my city, nobody really knows what they got in store. I called and asked “what kind of mbuna cichlids do you have” and the answer was “we don’t have any of those, just African cichlids” I knew what the other three were just not the one shown in the picture, but now I can rehome the one now that I know it’s a hap

I will never get used to this happening. At least they say "Malawi cichlids" here. Still not ideal, but sufficient.

 

In this day and age I would do a google search in images and see if you can spot what you are looking at, then at least you will have some idea if it is compatible with your other fish.

Considering how many people are just going into it with the term "african cichlid" this would be frustratingly hard without at least a bit of pre-existing knowledge. That's what I gather from most people that come here for IDs.

I have breed star sapphires, and this guy is Definity a Blue Dolphin and NOT A STAR SAPPHIRE.
