Help identify growth at base of betta fin

BettaBallistic

I have a 55 gallon sorority tank, and one of my girls recently developed a growth at the base of her pectoral fin. It doesn't seem to affect her movement, but she is acting a bit lethargic. I didn't get the best picture but its a fleshy color/texture. I need to identify it so I can treat it

Looks like a viral tumor aka Lymphocystis. Usually not fatal just ugly.
The tumor might eventually slough off, or it could expand.
No meds for the condition. Clean water and good nutrition are about all that can be done.

That makes sense! She's had a bump under her gill on the same side for a while, I assumed it was that. Is it normal for it to spread like that?

Lymphocystis is sort of like a fish cold sore. The virus is permanently
embedded inside the fish & will occasionally flare up when the immune system is compromised.
