Hello,

I keep Comment goldfish in a small (125G) outdoor pond. Six fish in the pond, all similar in size to him. I live in Florida, the pond is well shaded. I bought them from Petsmart, sold as "feeder fish" for 10 cents each. I have had them a few years now and they have grown beautifully. One fish however has recently developed growths. They appear to me to be under the scales, they are clear-ish in color, irregular shaped, not fuzzy. Water parameters are good, none of the other goldfish show signs of any illness. In fact, warm weather has started here and their colors are turning super bright. He eats, swims, socializes (no hiding behavior). No other signs of illness, odd swimming or discoloration anywhere on him or on anyone else. I know these fish are not breed with health in mind and issues are common. I am concerned because it appears another spot is starting on his head. I have not treated the pond for anything yet (I am not even sure what to treat him for). Could this be Carp Pox? Any help or guesses would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I have attached pictures below. I tried to get him from different angles. He is roughly 6-7 inches long.

Melafix might work. The scales where those spots are irritating the areas. More or less an open wound infection at the base. Aloe does wonders. The clear bottle with the green aloe fir sunburns. Just make sure it doesnt contain any sort of lidocaine. My goldfish loved his aloe handling
