Help, I think my fish have Ich!

Please help. I'm pretty sure my bettas have ich. Both male bettas in my divided tank have a few white spots on their gills. One betta has a big spot that's missing scales (injury) which I've read can be caused by ich in the second stage, but I watch my fish very closely and I just noticed it yesterday. No white spots before that. How do I treat it? I raised the temp to 82/83. What is that supposed to do? I've heard it's one of ways you treat ich, but why? I do have Jungle Ich guard which I can use, but is it necessary? Please help. Thanks.
Pics are my lame attempt at a picture of Fin's wound.

Looks to me like ich. ICH (ICK) Life Cycle and Natural Treatment | Freshwater Fish Disease and Fish Health Forum | 153206
EDIT: Raising the temp is a good idea until you can get meds.

Personally I would raise the temp to 85 and that kills it because the higher temps make the life cycle of ich faster so it dies quicker. I wouldn’t use the meds unless it looks like it’s getting worse after a couple of days and could we get better pics? Edit: the only reason I wouldn’t use meds now is because most ich meds aren’t plant safe but idk about the one you have.

Pretty sure the injury on head is just scrape. But there's definitely white spots on his gills. I will raise temp and put ich meds in tomorrow. If this tank has ich, will my other tank? I haven't used the same nets or anything.

I will look into it. My camera is junk, so unfortunately it won't pick up on the tiny White spots, but it looks just like the ich I saw in pics online.

I just got the Ich X from Bluefish. Do not raise your heat to 85 leave it where it was. Just use your Jungle med and put a airstone in if you have one. Don't do both. Are there just the Bettas in your tank?

I've come to love the jungle brand ich med. I just treated my 2 new fish after seeing them flashing and the ich appeared. Its gone 3 days later. Ive used it in a 37 gallon planted tank, 40 breeder planted and haven't had issues. If decide to use the meds I think you will be fine.

Yes just two male bettas. I will definitely put ich meds in tomorrow then.

Thanks! Glad to know it won't kill my plants. I appreciate your advice!

Slowly move your heat back down. I got my new Betta at Petsmart and she has Ich. Doing this too right now. You either do heat or meds .....not both.

Okay. Thanks. I just turned heat up like half hour ago so I'll put it down. What way is mode effective?

Be aware anything silicone in the tank may likely be stained blue (heater in 37g). Its not horrible but just giving a heads up.

Will my white plastic divided be stained?

Make sure if you ever turn your heat up do it one degree at a time every couple hours. Not all at once. Your fish will not like that at all, you could heat shock them. If you have just fish I think meds are best. The heat would be good for sensitive fish.

Probably.

Okay thanks. I'll set heater back down. It hasn't changed water temp yet

It depends on what kind of plastic your divider is. Weather it will stain or not I guess.

I know the Jungle Ich meds do stain airlines. Not sure on the divider.

It stained the plastic on our airlines, suction cups, plastic on the ends of the heater....

The Ich X was really light blue for a little bit in my 5g and isn't anymore! You may want to see if you can get some of that.

Yeah. I just don't have the money to spend on more stuff when i have a med that does the same thing already. If it stains it it stains it I guess. I used api fungus cure before so some stuff is already stained.
