Help! Growth On Eye.

Just today, I found one of my betta growing something on its eye. Can anyone help me figure out what it might be and how to treat it if possible?

Also this guy is in a 20 gallon long tank sharing with 2 other betta split into 3 sections. Will I have to remove him and treat him in a separate tank? Or will this go away on it's own?
I just recently did a water change 2 days ago and added a bunch of tannins I extracted from IAL plus 1 leaf each in each section.

Ammonia = 0ppm
Nitrite = 0ppm
Nitrate = less then 5ppm closer to 0ppm
Water temp always around 80 degrees.

Well established tank for about a year now with a good amount of plants in there. Never had a problem with my parameters.

This little guy is also a new addition to the tank. Should I be worried about him being in there now?

Looks to be some kind of tumor or cyst and I wouldn't touch it. It shouldn't affect the other betta. As long as he's still acting fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the reply. I kind of thought it was a cyst as well. I guess I will have to wait it out and see if it will get better for him. Until then I'll keep up on my once a week water changes.

Do you quarantine?
No I don't quarantine. And the one that has that growth, has been with me for a little over a year now. The new fish was barely introduced yesterday and I'm pretty sure the growth wouldn't grow that quickly if the cause of it was from the new fish. Was my fault for not paying close enough as attention to it on when it occured. I also have one other betta in that same tank and he has no problems but I will keep and eye on him.

You have to quarantine for at least a month to make sure the new fish doesn't have any kind of disease from the pet store if you don't then it's possible all you fish could get it I would set up a 3-5 (or more) gallon quarantine here's some more info

The old subject returns...Quarantine.

I'm confident enough that I don't need to quarantine my new fish since I got him from a local breeder that I have known for a while. I trust that the fish is in good shape before I got it.
