I have a 5 gallon tank I failed royally at cycling (fishless don’t worry) and I started breaking it down today so I could make a pretty scape for my desk and these little aliens scared the heck outta me! I have no idea what they are or how they got in and honestly they’re terrifying. PLEASE HELP209F1B94-D73F-44F5-B9EB-82874DA88CB5.jpeg

Just net them out. Is there a lid on your tank?

Yes I think there’s only two and the eggs came in off some plants I bought.. how do I minimize chance of more hatching?

Well they can’t reproduce because their larvae so I think you’ll be able to remove all the ones you can find and you won’t have to worry about them reproducing.
