Help! Fish has lymphocystis and I’m not sure what to do....

Hi everyone! Unfortunately it seems like one of my glass catfish has lymphocystis. I’m not really sure what to do right now. I’m currently combing my 40 and 20 gallon tanks and today my glass catfish has developed a weird white bump under it’s head. All my tanks except one have camallanus worms and need one more treatment so I’m combining to allow easier treatment and monitoring.

The issue is I need to move the fish over by tonight, but I don’t want to move over a sick fish. I’ve already lost my other two glass catfish because of this, yet my other fish all seem fine??? I’m guessing this is a strain that only affects catfish, but I’d like some other opinions. Right now I’m considering euthanizing because so far it doesn’t look good and I have corys in my 40 gallon. What should I do? I hate euthanizing fish but I’m afraid I’ll only prolong his suffering if I don’t.

Edit: here’s a photo. Sorry for the horrible quality, it was hard to get a good pic.

The problem might be Lymphocystis or some other viral tumor. There is no cure. It's mildly contagious, and in most cases not lethal.
I've had a few fish come down with Lymphocystis over the years. The viral grows on them never healed & I eventually euthanized them.
Hang in there, things will get better.

Thanks, I’ll euthanize then . I’m going to add some other fish to the tank tomorrow (completely different fish, all healthy) but I plan on wiping down the tank and doing a hydrogen peroxide dip for either in the tank. Though I do have one more question, Because I need to seed the tank will I be able to use the media from my 40 gallon? It does have a very small amount of camallanus worms because of cross contamination (the only reason I know there is any is because I accidentally transferred over some infected water), though I doubt any are in the filter.

It may not be a good idea to add fish to a tank with lymphocystis. I would let the tank run its course as long as it can and then nuke it with bleach and start fresh.

I’m euthanizing the fish that’s infected. This has been a long term issue with my glass catfish, but none of the other fish have been affected. My guess is it’s a strain that only affects certain species. 2/3 of the catfish have only had symptoms during stressful situations so I feel like it’s not something that’ll just spread constantly. Also, I’ll be cleaning out the tank and equipment before I get the new fish so it will be a fresh start.
